In this world where you can drop your phone into water and still play the latest game, make phone calls with your watch and turn on lights at home with you tablet, it should come as no surprise that when it comes to drug testing in Tasmania, when you choose Integrity Sampling you’re getting access to some very hi-tech equipment indeed.

At the heart of the process is the Drager Drug Test 5000, a mobile drug testing unit that screens a person’s saliva using a process that is as simple as it is quick. Here’s how the process is being done in Tasmanian businesses where Integrity Sampling conducts drug testing:
- Employees rub a collection device between their cheek and gums until an indicator shows that an adequate saliva sample has been collected.
- The collection device is then placed into the Drager Drug Test 5000 for analysis.
- Analysis of the sample begins immediately and is completed within five minutes.
- The result is displayed
The process is not just simple, quick and non-intrusive, importantly it’s also highly accurate. While additional analysis is always completed for any non-negative results, with an accuracy of greater than 99% you can be confident in the results that the Drug Test 5000 produces.
Drug testing in Tasmania, Australia and the world
We use the Drager Drug Test 5000 for all our saliva drug testing in Tasmania and across Australia. But we’re certainly not on our own. The unit and associated equipment is also used by others globally, including some police forces in Australia and across the world.
Most recently, The Drager Drug Test 500 was the first drug testing equipment to be verified to be compliant with the new Australian Standards, which sets out procedures for the collection, handling and testing of oral or saliva samples for drug testing. The equipment was independently verified by the NATA accredited Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine, who found it to be compliant with the Australian/New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 4760:2019.

What about urine drug testing in Tasmania?
