The Commonwealth Government has announced the formation of a taskforce to tackle the drug ICE. The taskforce will be led by Ken Lay who until recently was Chief Commissioner of Victoria Police.
The purpose of the taskforce will look at what is being done now to tackle ICE and develop new ways to attack what is described the government as ‘the growing scourge of ICE. The taskforce will provide an interim report to the Prime Minister by the middle of this year.
The taskforce is the first step in developing a National ICE Action Strategy.
