Drug and alcohol testing is in our blood

Have you ever wondered who Integrity Sampling is and what we do? We’re more than just a drug and alcohol testing provider.

In our blogs, Integrity Sampling provides a wealth of information on drugs and alcohol in the workplace. Whether it’s about drug and alcohol testing, management, education or support, or indeed about drugs and alcohol in the community, we aim to educate people and help make work environments a safer place for everyone.

But have you ever wondered who we are and what it is that we do? In this blog, we’ll turn the focus on our ourselves to give you an insight into what makes us tick. We’ll provide details about the company, our services and what sets us apart from our competitors.

About Integrity Sampling

You could say that workplace drug and alcohol testing is in Integrity Sampling’s blood.

We’ve been operating since 2001, which is over 20 years’ experience in what is a relatively new field. We have branches in over 50 cities and towns, and more than 100 technicians, throughout Australia and New Zealand. This provides us with geographical coverage across much of our great lands.

We decided early on that workplace drug and alcohol management and testing would be our sole business. This focus, as well as our determination to excel at delivering simple, effective, cost-efficient and tailored solutions, has seen us help hundreds of clients with drug and alcohol management.

Saliva drug testing

Another thing we decided when the company was created in 2001 was to not go down the path of most providers and only provide urine drug testing methodology.

Our senior personnel pioneered saliva drug testing and knew it was the way forward. Saliva drug testing has many advantages over urine drug testing, including:

  • Saliva drug testing provides results in as little as five minutes, allowing workplaces to quickly determine if employees are safe. In contrast, urine testing can take days to yield results.
  • Using saliva is less intrusive and testing can be conducted virtually anywhere. Urine testing requires restroom facilities and can be uncomfortable for some individuals.
  • Saliva testing is highly accurate. The Dräger drug testing equipment we use for our workplace drug testing has an accuracy rate of 99% or higher.
  • Most importantly, the detection period for saliva is shorter than for urine, making saliva drug testing a more accurate measure of current fitness for work.

Roadside drug testing wasn’t being conducted back in 2001, when we started our services. However, with every police force in Australia now using saliva drug testing for its roadside tests, you could say the decision to favour saliva drug testing over urine samples has been vindicated.

When it comes to drug and alcohol testing, saliva drug testing is what we recommend our clients

Favoured by hundreds of companies

Why do hundreds of businesses in Australia and New Zealand rely on Integrity Sampling to help them manage drugs and alcohol in their workplaces?

Our use of saliva drug testing is one reason, however, there are many others, including:

  • We provide comprehensive solutions for all workplace drug and alcohol management needs, not just drug and alcohol testing.
  • Our pricing is competitive and completely transparent. Unlike some of our competitors, our quotes are all-inclusive, with no hidden extras for things like after-hours penalty rates, public holiday rates and administrative fees.
  • We’re available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year if you need urgent incident and cause testing completed.
  • We only use the best quality equipment for our testing, including the Dräger DrugTest 5000. This device is also used by many law enforcement agencies in Australia and globally for roadside drug testing.
  • We have a wide geographical coverage, which means we can serve most businesses, wherever they are located.

Our drug and alcohol management services

While some providers can only help with drug and alcohol testing needs, our services are more comprehensive and include:

  • Robust management of drugs and alcohol, starting with a plan and a detailed and clear policy and procedures. Integrity Sampling helps companies with these important first steps, allowing them to better manage drugs and alcohol – and improve safety – in their workplaces.
  • While we do undertake urine testing for some workplaces, we pioneered workplace saliva drug testing and it’s what we recommend to most companies. We are still one of the few Australian providers to offer saliva drug testing.
  • Our accredited technicians carry out workplace alcohol testing using the most modern, accurate and effective equipment available.
  • Independent NATA Accredited laboratory confirmation of all non-negative test results.
  • We can also coordinate the schedules of random testing for clients and provide laboratory results and interpretation.
  • Assisting in developing and delivering education to your employees, contractors, and other stakeholders. This education includes regular reminders of your drug and alcohol policies and procedures, along with general information about the dangers of substance abuse.
  • Our hair follicle drug testing service allows individuals and companies to receive an understanding of a person’s long-term drug use.
  • If specialist medical drug and alcohol assistance is required, we can provide access to a Medical Review Officer.

Going beyond drug and alcohol testing

While the above includes our main services, it’s fair to say we often go above and beyond this to help our clients improve safety in their workplaces. For example, we provide resources and often free advice on a range of topics that can affect any workplace. This includes:

  • How to manage the use of medicinal cannabis and prescribed medication by employees in the workplace.
  • How to support employees who have substance abuse issues.
  • How to implement drug and alcohol testing for the first time.
  • What clients can do if they find the cost of drug and alcohol testing prohibitive.
  • Provide regular updates to clients on industry news and trends.
