Positive drug test figures alarming

Published

An alarming number of heavy vehicle drivers are driving under the influence of drugs, testing by the Victorian Police and Integrity Sampling has shown.

The Victorian Police are catching 1 in 12 transport drivers with drugs in their system. Drug testing by Integrity Sampling of heavy vehicle drivers around Australia is finding 1 in 16 affected by drugs.

As alarming as these figures are, what’s just as worrying is that these figures are around 20% up on figures from last year.
