ICE and other drug use rampant amongst truck drivers

Published

A segment on A Current Affair last night featured a special investigation into a truck driver who has filmed himself smoking ice while driving his 40-tonne truck.

The report mentions that the use of ICE and other drugs is rampant amongst truck drivers, in part to alleviate fatigue. These drivers are putting themselves and other road users at risk.

Victoria Police say that 1 in 12 truck drivers who are tested provide a positive result for drugs.
