Drager units help speed up drug testing

Published

Police in Western Australia can now test drivers for drugs in less than 5 minutes, thanks to the Drager Drug Test 5000 units.

The units are being rolled out in Perth and regional areas of Western Australia, where approximately 1 in 14 people on average are found to be driving under the influence of a drug. Twenty of the Drager units have been bought for use by the WA Police. Seven of the units will be based in regional areas, where up until now drug testing has been rare.

Integrity Sampling also uses the Drager Drug Test 5000 units to test people for illicit drugs in Australian workplaces.
