What’s the window of detection when using hair samples?

Hair drug testing typically has a detection window of up to 90 days. This is because head hair grows about 1.25 cm per month, and labs usually test the 3 cm of hair closest to the scalp. While 90 days is the standard, the detection window can be extended by testing body hair, which grows more slowly and may retain drug traces for longer.
