Should we also provide education for supervisors and managers?

Absolutely. While education for supervisors and managers should cover the same key topics as for all employees it should go a step further. Leaders need a thorough understanding of how to respond if they suspect someone is under the influence, including how to document concerns and initiate reasonable suspicion testing. They must also be well-versed in your workplace’s drug and alcohol testing procedures. Consistent education across all levels ensures everyone is on the same page and supports a safer, more compliant workplace.
