How often should workplace drug and alcohol education be provided?

Education should be provided for all new starters and all employees regularly—ideally annually or as policies are updated. Shorter sessions, such as toolbox talks or team briefings, can be delivered more frequently to keep awareness high. Ongoing education helps reinforce key messages, keeps employees informed about their responsibilities, and supports a safer workplace.
