- How accurate are the Cozart® drug detection systems?

- Extremely accurate when properly maintained and operated in accordance with the standard procedures of Integrity Sampling™. A significant advantage of using the Cozart® technology is that operator subjectivity is removed. The Australian Standard for oral fluid drug testing recognises the benefit of using an oral fluid test system that does not rely on interpreting test cartridges by eye, but rather uses an instrument to measure and print these results.

- Who else uses the Cozart® drug detection systems?

- Cozart® drug detection systems are currently in use in a wide and continuously expanding range of mediums. For example, Victoria, South Australia and New South Wales police - roadside drug testing, mining, heavy industry, manufacturing and road transport.

- Why should we use saliva drug testing and the Cozart® drug detection systems?

- Because it provides the most accurate results with a minimum of inconvenience to the person being tested, within approximately ten minutes from commencement of the testing process.

- Have the results been tested in court?

- A presumptive positive sample (one which has registered positive on the Cozart® drug detection system) is forwarded to a NATA accredited laboratory for confirmation analysis, which is recognised in any jurisdiction.

- Why should we drug and alcohol test?

- Because drug and alcohol misuse is ever increasing! A recent survey suggests that 17% of the adult population are regular illegal drug users. It is the responsibility (duty of care) of all employers to provide a safe working environment. An employee or contractor on your worksite who is affected by drug use cannot assist in providing a safe workplace. They are a danger to themselves, their work colleagues and others. Statistics suggest employees who are regular drug users are ten times more likely to take sick leave and 33% less productive than abstainers.

- A detailed document acknowledged and agreed by staff to work in a zero tolerance drug free environment. Your Integrity Sampling provider can assist with the development of such a policy.

- No‚ under no circumstances.

- How is the saliva sample collected?

- By placing an absorbent swab in the mouth of the donor. The contents of the swab are then analysed by the Cozart® drug detection system. It is important to note that unlike some saliva collectors, the Cozart® oral fluid collection device contains no additives or animal protein to stimulate saliva production and is safe and suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

- How can I establish whether an Integrity Sampling technician is accredited?
