As a general guide, substances such as amphetamines and opiates can be detected up to 24 hours ( approximately) after use. The Cozart® drug detection systems have been designed to identify the recent use of cannabis (delta-9-THC) and not the inactive cannabis metabolites which can remain in the body for weeks.
How accurate are the tests? The Cozart® drug detection systems minimises user error and removes subjectivity from the diagnoses, by accurately timing the incubation period, interpreting and then storing the results. These results are displayed on a screen, which can then be printed.
Numerous studies have demonstrated the excellence of the Cozart® drug detection systems, which are currently being used by police and other services worldwide.
The Alcolizer breath analysis equipment (which is approved to Australian Standard 3547), is currently used by both Australian and New Zealand police, for the detection of alcohol. Most businesses that operate heavy machinery prefer a "zero tolerance" to the consumption of alcohol whilst in the workplace, however this can be varied according to a businesses individual requirements.
